Taharah has been on the board of directors for over 7 years and served as President from 2020-2022. During her tenure on the AAWBC Board, she planned and led professional development, coordinated events for small business owners, and spearheaded the rebranding of our entire organization.
We are incredibly enthusiastic about this next chapter for AAWBC, as this role has been created to better serve the overall strategy and growth of the organization. The executive director works closely with the AAWBC Board of Directors in achieving the goals and objectives, including grant funding, special projects, and community leadership. In Taharah, we have found a passionate, committed, and experienced leader. She is the Head of DEI at Ford Next, LLC, and brings an extensive background in strategic partnerships, long-term planning, and advocacy.
