For Women’s History Month, our Workforce Development Committee has interviewed 4 Arab American Women, and for each #WorkforceWednesday in March, we will share them with you!
Today we highlight Karen Akouri, the owner and founder of Drench Dressings and Marinades.
Karen officially launched her business five years ago, inspired by her desire to feed her children healthy food and the compliments she received from friends, family, and her children’s teachers. She built her business after perfecting her recipes and creating them with fresh herbs, spices, and vegetables, giving them a unique and delicious taste.
Drench Dressings and Marinades specialize in producing high-quality, all-natural dressings and marinades and are sold in over 25 states. Its products are made with the finest ingredients and are free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. Karen is continually working to create newer and improved dressings and marinades and has made various flavors, like Classic Ranch, Lemon Garlic, Creamy Caesar, and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Karen uses eco-friendly packaging in her business and strives to reduce waste in her company’s production process. Her passion is not just for clean, healthy eating but also a commitment to sustainability.
Thank you so much, Karen, for speaking with AAWBC and the Workforce Development Committee!
